Michigan Risk Score Validation: Updates from the PICC-Brazil Research Group

The Michigan Risk Score validation project in Brazil is heating up! Since the last time we spoke with Prof. Eneida Rejane Rabelo da Silva, the PICC-Brazil Research Group has been hard at work. Here is what has happened since our last update.

• The team met on July 26, 2018 in São Paulo with representatives from all 17 institutions where PICC data will be collected.
• In September, Prof. Rabelo da Silva and Marco Saffi made the journey here to Ann Arbor for a technical visit at the University of Michigan Hospital.
• October saw the data collection tool being finalized and piloted, including patient data. In the final week of the month, the official start of reporting began!
